Brandon, Manitoba Oct 8, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - 2112 Hockey Group is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Scott Glennie, former NHL first-round draft pick of the Dallas Stars.
Glennie, professional ice hockey forward, was most recently on the roster for the Manitoba Moose. Unfortunately, due to two surgeries (foot), he is no longer able to play, however, he was eager to still be involved in the hockey world. His connections led him to this new position where he will assist the 2112 Hockey Group with recruiting players.
“We’re looking forward to having Scott as part of our team. Along with recruiting, he will also be a one-on-one video coach to work with our young clients and pro-players on improving their game,” said Darryl Wolski, 2112 Hockey Group President.
Originally from Winnipeg, 28-year-old Glennie played four seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Brandon Wheat Kings from 2007-2011. The right-winger then moved on to play with the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League (AHL) where he won a Calder Cup.
