Chantilly, Virginia Oct 2, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Scott-Long Construction has worked with countless faith-based organizations over the past 62 years to ensure their construction needs are met. This year the Scott-Long Construction team has been working on additions at Temple Sinai’s Nursery School. While there is still work to be completed, students at the school were able to start on time for the 2023 school year.
The start of the school year came with some nice upgrades for the Nursery School students. Parents, students, and staff have new sidewalks to travel on that go from the driveway to the South Plaza and School entrance. This makes it safer to get from one entrance of the building to the other. Scott-Long Construction has also made upgrades to the parking lot at the school. There are new curbs, as well as more lights making it safer for students. New asphalt was also put down. The outside of the school also has a new water play area and a new play structure.
The interior work is not completely finished yet, but the commercial construction team at Scott-Long was able to install a door, to keep the area safe and separate from the students. The upstairs hallway part of the project has been finished. There is new tiling, new lighting, and new entrances to the bathroom. One of the challenges of this project has been the amount of traffic in the area while it’s completed. With vehicle traffic, pedestrians, and the children in school, Scott-Long Construction has had to take care of keeping everyone safe.
The rest of the project is expected to be completed by the end of the year. “There have been a lot of moving parts to this project and we are thrilled that we were able to get a good chunk of it done prior to the school year starting so that students could be back in the classroom on time,” said John Scott, CEO of Scott-Long Construction.
