Seminole Casino Coconut Creek Rolls out the red carpet for the 12th Annual Geminis Give Back Event

Miami, Florida Jun 6, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - Celebrities came out in full support to attend the 12th Annual Geminis Give Back Event. On June 3, 2019, GRAMMY Nominated Singer and Songwriter Melky Jean hosted her annual charity event for the Carma Foundation. The nonprofit’s mission is to measurably improve the health of poor and vulnerable women and children in the Caribbean and inner cities of the United States through action, dialogue, and change.

This year TV Personality and former White House political aide, Omarosa Manigault Newman, kicked off the evening by leading the event’s traditional prayer. The official proceedings started off with a Caribbean Jurkanoo performance followed by an awards ceremony honoring former NBA player John Salley, NFLer Jonathan Vilma, Miss Haiti Universe Sarodj Bertin, comedian and entrepreneur FatBoy SSE, Fran McDuffie, and Rebecca Noble. Beautiful women in feather clad costumes danced the night away as surprise musical performances took place by Rapper Black Dada and Shannon the “Queen of Freestyle.” Both a silent and live auction featuring the rare artwork of UnCut, photo sessions by Doob 3-D, and several other items took place during the evening. The night was filled with authentic Haitian and Caribbean vibes as this year’s theme was Carnival. Jamaican Super Model Tyson Beckford and Haitian and Trinidadian Azia (BET’s Hustle in Brooklyn) engaged the crowd with a Caribbean dance and served as the featured hosts for the evening.

The night would be remise without mentioning the elaborate and classy ambiance the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek provided as they rolled out the red carpet for the event’s many celebrities and hundreds of guests with Caribbean food stations situated all around the room, VIP butler service, a wall to wall TV projector, and a runway style stage to set the night into motion.

A “who’s who” turned up in attendance for this years’ event with people flying in from all over to support Melky Jean’s mission. NFL greats Nolan Carroll and Brian McKinney, TV/Radio personality K. Foxx, Omarosa Manigault, Nikki Allure (WeTV’s Hustle and Soul), Rapper Stitchez, President of NAMAD Damon Lestor, Sade Serena, Actor and Model Cullen Muzik, and many more.

About Melky Jean 

Melky Jean aka Melky Sedeck is a GRAMMY-nominated Singer and Songwriter, Author, Director and Humanitarian who happens to be the younger sister of Fugees founder Wyclef Jean. Melky has written for artists like Sinead O’Connor, Regina Belle and many others. Jean’s distinct vocals can be found on an artist like Carlos Santana's album "The Shaman". Her own personal successes as an artist have enabled her to tie in other entertainment personalities to lend their celebrity to contribute. Melky has served as executive producer to a Care for Haiti music project she produced featuring many of today's international artist like Angelique Kidjo, Sean Paul, KRS1, Talib Kweli and many more. One hundred per cent of the proceeds of this album went to the CARE organization.
