Los Angeles, California Dec 9, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Far from the Cambodian jungles they filmed in, Mark Toia’s Sci-Fi Action feature film, Monsters of Man, made it’s debut at this years Sydney Sci-Fi Film Festival in November, taking home the ‘The 2020 Audience Award’. Today, the film that follows “six American doctors as they fight for their lives after four weaponized robots wipe out a village in Southeast Asia” was released worldwide.
Serbian/Australian actress Tatjana Marjanovic (Do Not Disturb, Great White, Purgatory) jumped at the opportunity to play Wendy, one of the innocent doctors caught in the military havoc. Born into a Sci-Fi/Horror film loving family, Marjanovic says the offer to work on a film dubbed 'Predator-meets-Robocop' was “a dream come true” stating she has been “practising her scream her whole life, after watching Janet Leigh in Psycho.”
Having grown up in South East Asia (unlike her character) the conditions of the Cambodian jungle didn’t phase Marjanovic. When discussing similarities with her character Marjanovic noted “Playing Wendy was a blast. She starts off exactly how you’d imagine a prissy rich girl would fare in the wild, but, quickly surprises even herself as she adapts and grows into this pragmatic team player who goes toe to toe with even the toughest military men in the film.”
Following her win of ‘Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a leading role’ at the London International Film Festival for her work in festival favourite Little One, Marjanovic was cast to lead the Komack Company’s highly anticipated quarantine feature Do Not Disturb. The film was announced on Deadline and will be released early 2021.
Marjanovic comes fresh off the two season PopstarTV horror Purgatory, earning high praise and fan favourite status from audiences and critics alike.
Monsters of Man is available on Apple Tv, Amazon Prime, Google Play, and XBOX.
