Having studied in the United States, Dr. Mehta graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, in the top 5% of his class. He then went on to perform his residency in orthopedic surgery at Midwestern University/ Franciscan Health, and his fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Washington University in St. Louis.
Healing the body, he is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS). The AOBOS is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
Passionate about his profession, Dr. Mehta is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.
He has spent time working as a team physician at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels, including Lemont High School (2022 - present). In addition, he is actively involved in teaching and lecturing residents on the most up-to-date orthopedic surgical techniques and procedures.
