Shockholm, Scandinavia’s largest Halloween Festival & Parade, is proud to announce that SHOCKHOLM will return to light up the night for the 12th consecutive year, Saturday, November 5, at Medborgarplatsen, beginning at 16:00 until 20.00.
Shockholm has become a loved tradition boasting as many as 8,000 people attending over the day, most as event participants in some of the best costumes imaginable for the Shockholm costume contest and Shockholm Halloween parade, the largest in Europe.
‘Stockholm is considered by many as a creative capital of Scandinavia, if not the world, and, Shockholm is an open, extremely creative platform for showcasing a bit of this’ says Bill Schacht, Shockholm founder. ‘This year is a great example—aside from the highlight of showcasing
hundreds of costumes on stage & in the parade, we will introduce a virtual aspect of Shockholm, the Shockholm Metaverse ‘Shockoverse’, which includes an avatar of our King, Sire Shockington.’
Shockholm will also see the premier of Holoman, described as a ‘walking hologram character’. Other highlights include the amazing Mitra, known for a world-class hoops act, the Haunted Doge dog costume contest, the Burning Hearts Club concept and ‘Let It Burn’ song, and Bridie, the heavy metal laser ballerina, who has flown in from Australia for Shockholm.

For international reach, Shockholm introduces a unique live stream experience this year—in
addition to the standard, flat live screen feed, Shockholm will feature a 360 stream so people can enjoy a full 360 experience if they wish. The Shockoverse, 360 Live Stream, Sire avatar, and cooperation with Holoman are a result of a half-year collaboration between Shockholm and the innovative Stockholm University, Future Games Changemakers, and the Vive VR company.
