Klokwerk releases Shy Porter and Warren Haynes duet “Hold My Hand”.
“Hold My Hand” is Shy Porter’s first release since her debut album “Particles of Humanity Volume 1 & 2” in 2016.
The video for “Hold My Hand” contains footage of some of the recording artist’s cross country motorcycle adventures and she recounts a heartfelt story of her nearly fatal accident on the ALCAN Highway (Alaska-Canadian Highway is a 1,390 mile stretch of Highway that begins at the junction with several Canadian highways in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, and runs to Delta Junction, Alaska, via Whitehorse, Yukon, one of the most desolate places on earth) which not only could have ended the recording artist's career but also cost her her life. She recalls the cold morning in a late winter when she lost control of the motorcycle she was driving on an icy bridge on the ALCAN Highway on her way to Alaska. After flying over the handlebars, the motorcycle she was driving ran her over nearly killing her and shattering the bones in her arm into 18 pieces.
Once slated to stay in the Klokwerk vault and not be released until after her retirement, Shy Porter decided to allow her label to release “Hold My Hand" after a lot of physical therapy to fully recover from the accident.
After the ordeal, she took a much-needed hiatus and gave birth to her first son Thomas (known on social media as "Major Tom"), to whom "Hold My Hand" is dedicated.
“I have more important things in my life, my importances are different now. I don’t want to hold on to the music for later, I want to sing and put out music” says Shy Porter on the release of her new track.
“Hold My Hand” which was Produced by Shy Porter, Jan Carlo DeFan and Michel DeFan and recorded at Carriage House Studios in Stamford Connecticut.
