Fake Chamber of Commerce from Singapore known as Singapore Chamber of Commerce (SCCI) signed collaboration MOU with 15 international chambers of commerce.

As many as 15 memoranda of understandings (MOUs) were signed between the visiting foreign trade delegations and the Goa Chamber of commerce and industry (GCCI) and Vibrant Goa Foundation in the first two days of the three-day Vibrant Goa-Global Expo and summit ( VG-GES) 2019 being held here. The 15 foreign trade delegations which signed the MOUs include theIndian American Business Council (IABC), USA, lndo-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (ICCC)Canada, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSICCI)Malaysia, Malaysian Indian Business Council (MISC)Malaysia, Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Singapore, The Bahrain Small and medium scale industries, Bahrain.
The question is how did an unrecognized chamber of commerce sign agreement with more than 15 international trade associations.
Xu Fangda, Minister of Trade and Industry and Senior Minister of Education of the Ministry of Education of Singapore, said that the “Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) ” is not a government-recognized chamber of commerce and has nothing to do with the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI).
In effect, it is not even a non-profit association, because it has not even being registered under ROS, Registrar of Society of Singapore. The government will never support any unauthorised association to impersonate the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI) affect its reputation and status.
