New York City, New York Jun 10, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - Singer-actor Lovari voices his support of Israel in a recent radio interview, calling the actions of Gaza "deplorable".
On a recent radio interview on the syndicated show "Cindy & Friends: Common Ground", Lovari turned attention away from promoting his latest role in the horror film "The Barn 2" to speak about the "real life horrors of October 7th." Continuing on the topic, he stated, "I find the actions of Gaza deplorable. And to all of those protestors demanding a cease-fire - do they not realize that this begins because of Gaza's attack on Israel on October 7th? What was Israel supposed to do - not fight back?" Lovari then went on to say that antisemitism is almost at the same peak it was during World War 2 and that anyone who agrees with supporting Palestine is "deplorable".
Lovari, who scored his first Billboard charging single with the song "No Day Like Today" (the music video featured The Real Housewives Of New Jersey), appeared on the syndicated show to promote his supporting roles in "The Barn 2" and "Terror Toons 4", but the conversation began to go awry when host Cindy Grosz asked him his opinion on Hollywood and actors in the film industry using their platforms to discuss politics in the forefront, including their social media accounts and award acceptance speeches.
Most recently, at The Independent Film Spirit Awards televised live from Santa Monica, a protestor with a pre-recorded audio message of "Free Palestine" looped continuously and was heard throughout the near entirety of the broadcast.
