As we are discussing 2021-22 GDP growth numbers and business recovery post-pandemic, the families of construction workers, contract workers, street sellers, rickshaw drivers, cart pullers, laborers, etc. who were forced to dwell on footpaths or makeshift huts and depend upon donations to feed themselves and cook on stoves made of bricks (burning twigs for fuel) are still not seeing the light of the day. The market cheered on progressive budget announcements by rising 2000+ points, but was there something to immediately help the most vulnerable section of the society? It could be anybody’s guess.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION BY ENTIGRITY AT IT’s TEAM
In the tough times of pandemic and after that, where a country like India has a huge number of people employed in an informal sector on a daily wage and urban poor living on the road, and subsequent phases of lockdowns kept being enforced, it was truly challenging for such people to get enough food and livelihood to stay alive. Staying indoors and surviving was not an option for them.
Entigrity and its team since April 2020 started its Food Distribution Drive. Every week they distributed 200 to 250 food kits to different families. Each food kit contains 5 kilograms of wheat flour, 1 kilo of rice, half a kilo of pulses, and 6 oz of cooking oil and spices. These items put together are good to feed a family of 3-4 people for about a week. Entigrity usually split into teams of 2 or sometimes more, set out to distribute packets of uncooked food items as well as cooked meals to the needy people living on the streets, of course wearing masks and gloves at all times. What we started doing was thrice every week, with each team visiting different locations, together we try to cover the entire western Ahmedabad as our region of service.

Although we believe that no help will be enough to bring the lives of these people back to normal, however, we will continue our efforts even during 2021 and contribute towards reducing the problem to every possible extent that we can. Entigrity and the team of its volunteers feel blessed to take this opportunity, taking small steps on a noble path where we can nourish a few lives and bring some smiles to the people who have suffered the worst. Let’s hope the good fortunes smile on them quickly and normalcy is restored again soon. Since April small effort of Entigrity and its team of volunteers has really touched the lives of 500+ families living on the street.
WHILE COMPANIES WERE LAYING OFF, ENTIGRITY HIRE 300+ NEW TEAM MEMBERS IN 2020.
In grave situations and the crisis of pandemic during 2020, companies were struggling to cope up with the onslaught of the coronavirus situation. While there were corporate layoffs, salary cuts, job losses across the board, Entigrity was hiring. At Entigrity not a single employee was laid off because of the pandemic, on contrary, there were appraisals in July 2020. On top of it, Entigrity made the addition of 300+ new team members in 2020-21

ABOUT ENTIGRITY
Entigrity was founded by two brothers: Shalin Parikh and Valay Parikh both being Chartered Accountants living in a joint family in Ahmedabad. It was started from the living room of their house with a team of 4 in late 2015. Today Entigrity has closed to 600 Team members. Entigrity has two divisions, Offshore Staffing division for Accounting firms and Online Continuing Education Platform for Professionals.

When we started Entigrity the first problem we wanted to solve was staffing for an accounting firm, and what we saw was Big 4 and large firms were building their offices and teams in India. We thought if we can bring the same benefits to small and mid-size accounting firms, without them having to invest anything in infrastructure, overheads, offices, etc, and have access to a global talent pool.
