On Friday, the upgraded and redesigned Tesla Model 3 has been launched on the company website. And, if anyone one to avail of this deal, they must expect the delivery in January 2024.
This new version promises a longer range with better safety measures. In this version, there will be a touch screen for the back-seat passengers as well. But with the added features the price of this car will be higher than the previous one.
With the launch of this car, 2023 has been a bumper year for electric vehicles in Australia. The country has seen over 130,000 electric vehicles on the roads already. And Tesla itself has over 11,500 Model 3 sales in the first half of 2023.
There are rumors that US car makers are working on a potential upgrade that will deliver the best at the cheapest rates. This dubbed Project Highland started in March 2023. But the project intensified in June after the prototype was seen wrapped in California.
The latest Tesla Model 3 will have a more sleek featured body, designed in a way to reduce drag and increase its range up to 20 km per charge. The headlights are also redesigned with integrated fog lights. Along with these features they are also getting new shades on the shelf in Australia and New Zealand.
More features that will be there in this latest model are a streamlined steering wheel, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and acoustic glass to reduce noise. Passengers in the rear of the car will have to option to control the climate. And this is the first time that there will be an 8-inch touchscreen in between the front seats. This version will also have a new battery mount and metal body structure.
This new model will be a bit pricier side, the cheapest configuration with start from $4500 to $61,900, and the long-range version costs an additional $500 at $71,900.
