Nashville, Tennessee May 25, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - The 8th Annual Josie Music Awards nominees were released on May 7, 2022, through a press conference video filmed at The Madison Downs Venue in Jackson, Tennessee. The nominees were read by the daughter/mother duo, owners Josie Passantino-Boone and Tinamarie Passantino prior to being listed on the Josie Music Awards official website. The Social Impact Music Video of the Year and Entertainer of the Year categories were released separately on May 16, 2022. Receiving 52,442 submissions throughout the various categories and genres only 1.8% achieved an official nomination this year decided by an industry-leading panel of judges.
The Josie Music Awards Ceremony will be held at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee on October 23, 2022, hosted by owners Josie and Tinamarie. Joining them in award presentations will be Devon O’Day, Georgette Jones, Jimmy Bowen, Merlin Gene, Rodney Collins, Dale Houston, Roxane Atwood, Tim Atwood, Bill McDermott, and presenting formerly won categories or age divisions Lee Newton, Austin Chatfield, Kathryn Shipley, Macy Tabor, and more.
