The Future of Learning: How Immersive Technology will shape Education in the 21st Century

London, United Kingdom Nov 15, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - The Metaverse Education Council (MEC) is pleased to announce its formation and goals. The MEC is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the advancement of education in the metaverse. Our council is composed of 20 board members from a variety of backgrounds and expertise, including educators, game developers, educational researchers, innovators, and various blockchain executives.

Our goal is to promote and support the use of virtual worlds for teaching and learning. We believe that virtual worlds offer a unique and powerful educational medium, and we are committed to helping educators make the most of this new technology. To this end, we will be supporting research into the efficacy of virtual worlds as educational tools, advocating for the use of virtual worlds in schools, and providing resources and support for educators who wish to use virtual worlds in their classrooms.

The Metaverse Education Council (MEC) is delighted to announce that Judy Shalom has been appointed deputy chairwoman. The MEC is dedicated to promoting education in the metaverse, and Shalom's appointment will help further this goal. As deputy chairwoman, Shalom will be responsible for coordinating the council's activities and ensuring that its members are working together effectively. In addition, she will be a key advocate for the MEC's mission within the metaverse community. With Shalom's leadership, the MEC is confident that it can continue to make strides in improving education in the metaverse.

"It is with great honor that I accept the position of deputy chairwoman for the Metaverse Education Council. In this role, I will be working to promote and improve education within the metaverse, as well as working to ensure that all children have access to quality education opportunities. This is a cause that is very close to my heart, and I am excited to be able to make a difference in this area. I would like to thank the council for this opportunity, and I look forward to working with everyone to make the metaverse a better place", Shalom said.

"With the rapid development of immersive technology, it is becoming increasingly clear that education will be forever changed. Through the development of web3 and the metaverse, we will see a shift from traditional learning models to ones that are more interactive and engaging. This will provide opportunities for all children, regardless of location or socio-economic status, to take part in education", Melissa McBride Founder of MEC and CEO of Sophia Technologies said.

It is clear that immersive technology will allow for a more personalized and tailored learning experience. No longer will students be confined to one-size-fits-all classrooms; instead, they will be able to learn at their own pace and in their own environment. This has the potential to revolutionize education as we know it and provide opportunities for all children to succeed.
