The Opening of Tarzana Treatment Centers Outpatient Treatment Program at Martin Luther King Jr. Behavioral Health Center

In 2022, as Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. celebrates its 50th anniversary as an integrated healthcare provider, the nonprofit organization opens a new outpatient SUD treatment program at MLK BHC in South Los Angeles

Los Angeles, California Oct 17, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. (TTC) is proud to open a new location in Service Planning Area (SPA) 6: South and, more specifically, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Behavioral Health Center (MLK BHC) in Los Angeles. Designed to serve the South Los Angeles community, this Outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment program is located on the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital Campus.

TTC's new program at MLK BHC further expands access to alcohol and drug treatment services in Los Angeles County. Along with TTC, other alcohols and drug treatment providers have been selected to be onsite at MLK BHC. They will provide medical detoxification and residential SUD treatment.

As an integrated healthcare organization, TTC understands the importance of making sure patients have access to the full continuum of SUD treatment services. The new Outpatient SUD program is located at 12021 S. Wilmington Ave. BLDG #18, STE. 201 in Los Angeles (90059) at the MLK BHC, a state-of-the-art 505,000 square feet facility.

As an integrated healthcare organization that offers behavioral health services, Tarzana Treatment Centers is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2022. A critical part of TTC's mission from the beginning has been to provide quality behavioral healthcare services in the community. As a provider throughout Southern California of SUD and mental health treatment, it makes perfect sense for TTC to form a lasting alliance with MLK BHC to help expand service offerings in the community.

Once patients are screened and assessed, they will be referred to the appropriate SUD level of care. TTC is excited to be partnering with Los Angeles County to better serve and provide access to SUD treatment services. Patients with co-occurring disorders, who may need to be referred to or treated for mental health treatment, are also covered.

In addition, MLK BHC houses a respite and recovery center (referral based), a 99-bed inpatient residential facility, and an outpatient treatment center, where those 18 and up can come and receive alcohol and drug treatment services.

The SUD outpatient component run by TTC at MLK BHC allows non-residents to start or continue treatment before or after being part of a residential program or independent of the residential programs. Outpatient services include therapeutic support, treatment planning, group counseling, case management, and recovery support services.

Moreover, in cases where withdrawal management is necessary, Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) will be available in cases where withdrawal management is needed. Indeed, MAT Services often help people achieve sustainable recovery from addiction and alcoholism. MAT Services have a proven record of working in outpatient settings.

Tarzana Treatment Centers New Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Center will serve adults (18 and older), including those eligible for Medi-Cal and MyHealthLA.
