The facility is located at 580 Cape Cod Lane, Suite 1, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32779.
After months of preparation, Lead Pastor, Dr. Mark Shorey, a Lake Brantley High School graduate, has returned to his home town to plant the seed given to him by Christ and grow a unique NEW church with a different perspective to include all without judgment.
The People’s Church Orlando values diversity, not for diversity’s sake, not because it’s socially acceptable, but because it is reflective of the God that created the cultural Kaleidoscope that is humanity. We are more than people with a passion, we are people with a purpose.
The People's Church Orlando (TPC) is blessed to have one of the most inspirational pastors. Dr. Mark Shorey is an exceptional leader, motivator, author, a true man of God with values, and integrity. His conviction, dedication to the Lord, his congregation, family, church, and love for humanity is because of Christ and his love for Christ.
Through Christ, Mark has been given the rare talent to deliver His message in a captivating and inspiring manner that includes ALL people without judgment for a people of love, for a city of color. People of presence, in a world of indifference. People without prejudice, reflecting a God without preference.
Dr. Shorey says “My thought in developing The Peoples Church Orlando was to create a place by design. A place where people are invited into authentic relationships without fear of rejection or shame. CHURCH. AS IT SHOULD BE.”
He also added, “We definitely want to honor the traditions of many Christian religions where the importance of taking communion every Sunday is optional, and once a month as a congregation, a place of reflection where one can light a prayer candle, where people of all backgrounds are welcomed and know that they are not their past, regardless of who they are or what they have done, God forgives ALL people.”
MISSION: The mission of The People’s Church Orlando follows a pathway of resonating, revealing, restoring and redeeming. We gather, not only for mission and ministry but for the glory of the God who created us.
In celebration of their grand-opening, The People’s Church Orlando will be hosting a Family Picnic on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Sweetwater Beach in Longwood.
