Port of Spain, Trinidad And Tobago Oct 21, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - July 1, 2020, marked the historic moment of Trinidad and Tobago as a Division (Division F) consisting of 14 clubs across the twin island republic under District 81, Toastmasters International. Division F, Toastmasters Trinidad and Tobago are led by Sandra Theodore, Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM).
The first quarter of the term 2020/21, witnessed the first and the only launch of the Alliance between Rotary International and Toastmasters International hosted under this Division on September 25 2020.
Without hesitation, Division F has tabled a week of celebrations from October 17 – 22, 2020 under the theme ‘Back To The Future’, to honor the annual event, Toastmasters International Day on Oct 22, 2020. Thus far, the celebrations started with a welcome from the Division Director, Area Directors and the Vice Presidents Public Relations followed by a sharing of testimonials from Toastmasters members on the value of being a Toastmaster and how it has impacted their life personally and professionally. All of these sessions are being streamed live via the Streamyard platform to Toastmasters Trinidad and Tobago Facebook and Linkedin pages and YouTube Channel.
While those sessions were exceptional and the positive reviews and raves are incoming; what’s to come is even more exciting as we have scheduled a Panel Discussion with the International President and International Director, Mr Richard Peck, DTM and Mr Roy Ganga, DTM respectively on Oct 21st at 3 pm EST to discuss ‘The Impact of Covid on Toastmasters – A Global Perspective’. The Caribbean Perspective will see an interactive discussion on Oct 22 at 12 noon EST with panelists, IPDD Fabiola Cleofa, DD Brenda Maynard and PQD Innocent Richard.
The theme ‘Back To The Future’ would not be a reality without Mr Nazeer Sultan and Mr Philip Rochford, both instrumental Co-Founders who introduced Toastmasters to Trinidad and Tobago in the early 1980s. Mr Sultan will be sharing on Toastmasters WHY, WHAT and FUTURE on Oct 20, 21 and 22 at 615 pm EST.
