New York City, New York Dec 5, 2018 (Issuewire.com) - The people of Nongyatheung village, south of Laos have since time immemorial been primitive agriculturists that specializes in the growth of vegetables and maybe coffee in the harvest months of November to December. By virtue of its primitiveness, the society reeks with poverty; and its people lacking in potable water, toilets; among other basic necessities thereby rendering them vulnerable to diseases outbreak.
Fortunately today, the coffee making capacity of the people of Nongyatheung village had attracted investors to its surrounding area with large-scale coffee producing companies from China, India, Japan, Korea and Thailand being established, thereby bringing its people to close contact with prosperity, foreign trade, massive employment as well as a surge in value of assets; but not without a disadvantage of grave magnitude that could accompany such massive industrial action. Today, the people of Nongyatheung village stand the risk of losing their major instrument for subsistence (organic farmland for agriculture) to the chemical fertilizers which large industries make do with in the course of their operations.
The above is no doubt a unique feature that creates a unique problem and in need of a unique solution. How does one maintain industrialization within the said region without necessarily destroying the existing life in there? The need to find a lasting solution that bridge this gap is the rationale behind the creation of Global Giving “chemical free farming promotion project in Laos” whose primary aim is geared towards the provision of facilities, education and enlightenment to the Nongyatheung village farmers on the production of chemical free agricultural products, as well as the business marketing know-how to aid in the conduct of future businesses.
As robust as the above project looks, its execution is constrained by the fund; a reason for which financial support is being sought to move this project from the stage of a formulation to that of implementation and execution. A total of $5000 is required for the execution of the project, and just like the few people that had sown the seed of love just to prove to the Nongyatheung village people that our world is not completely devoid of caring minds. You don’t need millions to be a part of this show of love. With a $10 token, you can as well sow 3 seeds of avocado trees. To donate, kindly ClickHere!
