Manna Fund's mission is to address the epidemic of eating disorders and trauma by providing education, research, and financial assistance for treatment to all qualified individuals through well-administered programs. Trena has been volunteering for Rare STRIDES® for over two years as their Director of Marketing. Rare STRIDES® mission is to empower patients and medical teams with innovative tools to successfully fight rare diseases. Trena's passion for giving back to fund patient programs and continued innovation for children and adults with rare diseases who deserve excellence in healthcare is commendable.
As United USA Ms. Elite Georgia, Trena's legacy project is creating teddy bears for children who will be given to them at hospitals, ambulances, and fire stations alike during their medical crisis to provide comfort and peace. As someone with a rare disease that took decades to diagnose, she understands the need for comfort during a sensitive time. Trena is also an Emory-trained health coach and an art therapist where she teaches how to use art as a way to release stress, and anxiety and for creative problem-solving. Designs by Trena has been her business since 2014 where she has provided workshops during the pandemic to organizations like the Girl Scouts of America, WellSpring of Atlanta, Northside Hospital, and iamlov.
Myers will be competing for the national title of United USA Ms. Elite with the United USA National Pageants in January 2024 at the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Florida. We wish her the best of luck and know that she will make Georgia proud.
