to Host the 5TH Annual Erma C. Johnson Hadley Black-Tie Honors Scholarship Gala

Fort Worth, Texas Oct 25, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - Erma C. Johnson Hadley was an educator, leader, and trail-blazing visionary who created transformation wherever she served. “We want to keep her legacy of service alive within the hearts and minds of the Dallas/Fort Worth community,” stated  Dione Sims, Executive Director of Unity Unlimited, Inc.  The gala starts at 6:30 pm, with dinner starting at 7 pm. For VIP guests there will be a 6 pm reception. The Black-Tie Honors Gala gives an opportunity to pause and give recognition to those who are making an impact in the community. We are proud to honor the accomplishments of these leaders who exemplify the same passion for excellence as Mrs. Hadley. Her daughter Ardenia Gould admonished, “Let’s continue to keep her legacy alive by providing our young people, the future leaders of tomorrow, scholarships to further their college education.”

For our guests, the evening will be a memorable night filled with an elegant atmosphere of live entertainment by international recording jazz artist Tatiana LadyMay Mayfield. Featuring delicious dining with cocktails, the evening will highlight the accomplishments of Hadley by keynote speaker Gerald Alley, CEO of ConReal LP  followed by presentations by Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Dr. Opal Lee to outstanding individuals who will be honored for their diligent service as community leaders.

Honorees include:

  • Rose Jones, Founder-Executive Director of  Children & Family Institute
  • Wendy Davis, Former State Senator and Founder of Deeds Not Words
  • Robert Sturns, Director of Economic Development, City of Fort Worth
  • Leah M. King, President & CEO. United Way of Tarrant County
  • Dr. Michael Hinojosa, Superintendent of Residence Council of the Great City Schools

Guests will enter a LIVE broadcast of our Red Carpet show by Texas Metro News and experience the National Art Competition Exhibit where artists from around the nation have been invited to express their depiction of the 12 Freedoms Gained when the enslaved were freed. 

Tickets for General Public are $100.00 and for VIPs $150.00. A portion of your tickets is tax-deductible. Proceeds from the gala will fund Unity Unlimited. Inc and The Chancellor’s Promise Scholarship program from which four students will be selected to receive a $2500 scholarship and access to all of the organization’s events.
