K.I got his rap name from being a child named after his father who nicknamed was K.I (Killer Instinct) and using his crew name in front of it. Independent artist who started and still is record, mix, and master his own tracks from home. Recently signed an Single Distribution Deal with “Boost Recordings” with a song called “Legacy (Prod. RNE LM)” Versatile artist who inspires to do different styles & genres which separate him from most artists where he’s from. While growing up his idols were artists such as Lil Wayne, Notorious BIG, XXXTentacion, Meek Mill, Michael Jackson, and Etc. K.I didn’t really have a huge name in industry until he dropped a single in 2017 called “Not Just a Rapper” remixing “A Boogie Wit Tha Hoodie - My Day One”, even though the song is years old it’s still a huge hit around the world having over 18 thousand plays on the SoundCloud platform which was his most played song. Besides from songs released after, it never topped “Not Just a Rapper” until Valentines 2019 K.I released a sort of R&B love song called “Hold Me Down” featuring Sophia Lean, a female singer K.I found talented on Instagram and decided to put her on her first song. The song had reached over 25 thousand plays on SoundCloud and is streaming on all platforms.
At the age 17 K.I was going through a horrible breakup with his First Love which he was suffering depression, on his Social Media he stated ‘he was taking drugs heavy to cope with his pain and to actually take his life starting the summer going into his senior year in High School dealing with an abusive, cheating, manipulative girlfriend. His family found out about his problem one day and took him to a doctor who requested K.I to go check into a mental home taking medication to treat his depression while still in school. Though he didn’t go to a mental institution he quit doing drugs by dealing with his problems by writing letters which he never sent by jotting down his emotions and thoughts.’ Besides talking about his past problems from females, fame, fake friends, jealousy, and Etc on Social Media K.I started expressing himself through his music. In 2019, K.I recently started/founded his own independent Record Label naming it after his group calling it “YHAS The Label” meaning “Young Honorable and Successful” with his high school friend Adrian Zeledon being a music artist part of it going by “AZTheDon”.
