Vincent Darius Kreft Awarded 2022 National Climate Student Essayist Title at Gala Books Motivate Foundation Event

Washington, D.C, District of Columbia Aug 21, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - Books Motivate Foundation held the 2022 Reception of Champions Climate Awards virtual event to celebrate the announcement of the 2022 National Climate Essay Student Competition winner and invited students, educators, and community members on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 2:00 pm ET.

The named 2022 National Climate Essayist is Vincent Darius Kreft, a student from Bloomington High School North located in Monroe County, Indiana won a prize of $5,000 and read his award-winning essay entitled Youth Climate Anxiety, Shortsighted Resiliency & Persistent Climate Injustice.

Top climate essay finalists also receive award certificates and a printed copy of the upcoming release of their Books Motivate Press published an essay in the book, Climate Connections: American Student Voices.

The gala virtual event featured a short video film presentation and panel discussion moderated by Books Motivate Foundation Executive Director, Pamela S. Ellis, Ph.D. Additional awards included the 2022 National Climate Teacher Award to Evangelina Mateo and Isabel Montoya from Greenfield High School, Greenfield, CA, the 2022 Books Motivate Volunteer Award, Charles Campuzano, Manager Systems Engineer, L3Harris Technologies, Anaheim, CA and the 2022 Books Motivate Community Service Award to Chris Bugbee, Ecologist, Center for Biodiversity and John Cancalosi, Wildlife Field Biologist/Photographer.
