Expedien e-Solutions successfully started a new system, which offers all the universities to check answer sheets online, under the exam evaluation system, and it aims to reduce the time and cost of the universities in conducting examinations and to increase the level of accuracy in the results when displayed.
Still, our education institution follows descriptive examinations where the answer books are handwritten and manually evaluated. The main challenge of manual evaluation is that the evaluators come to the evaluation centre or allow the evaluators to carry the answer books. The allocation of answer books to evaluators and result publication depends on the performance of evaluators; now imagine an online system, where evaluators take one answer-book complete, instead of allocating a bulk number of answer books to all evaluators using a computer.
While exam paper checking process continues with many drawbacks, which are mainly by the teachers, as they need to check all the sheets one by one and all process of accuracy totally depends on the teachers' performance and sometimes the bulk answer sheets reading and checking lead to delay in the results and lacks accuracy. Moreover, if we need to know the process of evaluating the answer sheets through an online process then we should understand in such a manner as answer script evaluation provides a solution where the answer books are bar-coded to maintain confidentiality and scanned. The images loaded into the system and evaluators verify on-screen with the provision to do scribble, write, commenting, annotating onscreen. It would be a great help to evaluators if they can see the Question papers and Model answer books by side, with this system as it does.
