Pasadena, California May 17, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Channeling a rock n’ roll attitude with Malibu’s surf culture, he delivers a one-of-a-kind experience. PONYBOY has already gained international attention from his previous project The Graves, side-project GOODBOYS, and his time collaborating with acts such as Jaden and Willow Smith, Blair Taylor, Brian Malouf, Jaden Bojsen, and MARDO.
PONYBOY is a natural-born entertainer and recognized this at a young age. Professionally, he started acting (Minority Report, X Files, Sheers) with his twin brother. Personally, he was the class clown constantly pulling pranks in class. During this time, critically acclaimed film producer David Venghaus discovered PONYBOY and his brothers during a jam session in their garage.
This led to the beginning of The Graves. The band consisted of PONYBOY, Suede Silver, and their brother, Chris Graves. In 2010, The Graves went on tour with the Honor Society. Together, they sold out the legendary Roxy Theatre and played stadiums and arenas. This led to nationwide attention landing spots on television and their music played in retail stores such as Hollister all around the world.
After his time with The Graves, PONYBOY went to study medicine in Boulder, Colorado. During his free time, he continued to make music with his roommate. A couple of years later, he had a realization of his passion for music and decided to drop out to pursue it full time. PONYBOY was born.
PONYBOY is influenced by Classic Rock from the 1960s (Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Birds), legendary acts like Amy Winehouse and 2Pac, and modern talents such as Jesse Rutherford, Dominic Fike, Bakar, Remi Wolf, and Benee. He dances across groovy alternative hip-hop beats with his lush vocals, catchy lyrics, effortless delivery, and rock n’ roll attitude. PONYBOY continues to push the status quo by paving his own path into the music industry by mixing nostalgic sounds with modern production.
PONYBOY, born Kevin Justin Graves, is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he was introduced to music early in his childhood by his parents who are die-hard rock ‘n roll fans.
