Things that were bound to science fiction movies now can be reality. As technology is getting improved day by day and becoming a major part of life, it is assumed that automation is the future. A recent study of Oxford University says that there might be 47% job loss in the coming two decades. Automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics will enter into every possible arena of our daily lifestyle. A lot of industries can be run on technology and the requirement of manpower will be decreased to a huge level.
But there are industries that cannot run only on AI technology. There is a lot of AI–proof skills that cannot be replaced and will remain the same.
Some skills that are more than technologies are described below –
• Content creation skills:
A robot or tech device is not capable of creating new things. It can only do the things that are already put in their function. It cannot create new content. Creating content is a creative part of art that is impossible for any robot. It takes skills and knowledge to churn out new creations. So, it can be possible to get a step ahead of the robots.
• Communication skills:
Communication is an integral part of everyone’s life. It is not possible for any robot. Though Alexa and Siri are able to respond to certain things, they can only function in the limited boundaries that have been put in it. But due to not having prominent information robots can’t communicate. Communication is an art that cannot be replaced by any technological gadget.
• Empathy:
There are some qualities that cannot be implemented into something, and empathy is one of them. It is one of the characteristics of human beings which robots can’t pull off. Robots can give replies to certain e-mails but they can never understand the emotion. Even high-quality AI technology cannot empathize with a human. It cannot connect with humans on an emotional level.
• Leadership and social skills:
The undeniable fact of robots is that they are soulless. They only function with the certain technological systems that have been put into them. Therefore, any chance of socializing quality in them is gone. Interacting with them will always feel fake, as they respond only basis on their inputs. More than that, they cannot acquire leadership qualities. Being a leader requires caring, empathizing, and connecting. All these are not possible for robots.
• Judgment:
Judgment is a quality that needs a diplomatic mindset and it is not possible for even the top-qualified robots. Therefore, it is obvious that the AI cannot run a court. Only a human mind can evaluate and research anything. It involves searching and collecting legal data give a proper judgment and there's no doubt that a robot can’t replace it. Robots cannot debate or negotiate. It can recognize faces but cannot pass law judgments.
• Strategy:
Automation cannot replace the mind work, because robots are not able to think and plan different things. It does not have a complicated brain like humans. As it only works on the implemented data, it doesn’t have the power to think and make strategies. Strategic thinking is a skill that will always need human minds to accomplish.
Automation might be the future but it cannot replace everything. It is true that robots can do things flawlessly but still it needs humans to run them. Robots are a machine that is created by humans. So, it is not possible for them to get ahead of the human mind.
